Summary: Spent several days in Grand Junction, hiking, biking, visiting the Colorado National Monument and shopping. The house was really cute on the end of a quiet street in a fairly new subdivision on the backside of city. The living area, kitchen and dining room were spacious and bedrooms were good size. The two-car garage made it nice to park your car and bikes inside, especially when it was over 100 degrees during our stay. The kitchen is well appointed which made cooking a breeze. The backyard is very private since the house borders on protected land down to the Colorado river. While you can’t actually see the river from the house, there is a dirt trail just to the left of the house (if facing) that takes you to a gate that you can easily step over or lift your bike over to get to a section of the Grand Junction trail. A very pretty ride and you can connect to other sections of the GJ trail by following signs. We were literally 10 or 15 minutes from everything else we needed: dining, hiking, the National Park and shopping. The only snafu was that the house was not cleaned when we arrived. Apparently, someone possibly the owner, had stayed in the house unbeknownst to the property manager. The only reason I mention this is because she handled it beautifully. She was there within 15 minutes of our arrival, changed the sheets, cleaned the bathroom, wiped down the kitchen, etc.—and gave us a discount on our stay. THIS is good customer service!!!! We would definitely stay here again.
