This gorgeous well-loved two storey house is very clean, comfortable, warm, family-friendly and spacious. It’s unique easy-living design makes it elegant yet homely. The large fully fenced back yard and new patio area is great for relaxing and having a BBQ. The house is situated on the quiet western side of town with breath taking views of the Ben Ohau ranges and surrounding mountains. It is the perfect base to explore the Mount Cook National Park, Tekapo, the fishing canals and the many lakes that surround this town. It is also only 1.5 hours drive from Wanaka.
The beautiful kitchen flows through to the open plan large dining area and spacious lounge capturing all day sun. The dining table is big with comfortable cushioned chairs, which allows plenty of space for computer work to happen while others want to simultaneously eat at the table. There is an extensive collection of books, DVD’s (some blue ray), games, puzzles and toys, for hours of entertainment.
The downstairs bedroom is large and has a comfortable king size bed and an ensuite bathroom (toilet and shower). Baby items are stored in the cupboard which include, gates for the stairs, a high chair (feeding chair), a portable cot, baby toys and a baby bath support. At the top of the stairs is an open plan bedroom with a double and single bed, leading into another spacious room with a comfortable queen bed. All bedrooms look out at the surrounding mountains. The upstairs bathroom is spacious and has a toilet, bath and shower.
Two heat pumps keep this house warm during winter, with extra blankets provided. The air-conditioning keeps the house cool during summer, with extra fans provided in the bedrooms.
The Twizel Market Place is a leisurely 10 minute walk or a 2 minute drive from the house with numerous restaurants, bars, grocery and convenience stores. The closest bistro is about a 5 minute walk from the house.
Cleanliness is important to us, however during this COVID19 time we are taking extra care with cleaning and disinfecting, so you can expect to stay in a safe and clean home. All high touch surfaces are carefully cleaned and disinfected between guests. Cleaning products are available for guests to use during their stay, so they have peace of mind. We are also regularly decluttering and spring-cleaning the house, making sure everything is clean. Guests are welcome to bring their own linen and bedding.
All guest interaction is contactless, keys are kept in a lock-box for easy access and self-check-in. We are also very flexible with cancellations during this time, even though our cancellation policy is a full refund two weeks before your booking, we do offer full refunds after this depending on the situation (please speak to us).
