Experience historic Lisbon in comfort at this stylish, tranquil and centrally-located apartment. Located in one of the oldest quarters of Lisbon, but the entire building was renovated (finished in 2021); all the charm with none of the hassle. Ideally located to explore all of Lisbon's charming, historic and trendy areas, entirely by foot if you like. An authentic Lisbon experience complemented by comfort and convenience. The apartment is on a quiet pedestrian street, 2nd floor, no elevator. The apartment is tastefully decorated, very bright and quiet. One of the defining features is the floor to ceiling double door windows in both the living area and the bedroom. This provides a huge amount of light day and night but also gives the space a lovely open feeling. Lots of added comfort for historic Lisbon including air-con, coffee machine and coffee, washer/dryer, heated towel rack, microwave, and work desk. The windows are equipped with high grade double glazed windows; it is really very quiet. The building is located on a nice, quiet pedestrian street. It is a short walk (40 meters or so) from the closest taxi drop off point. The apartment is on the 2nd floor with out elevator. Guest will have access to the apartment through the building door. The entrance door to the building and the apartment door are opened using a keypads, so no keys to lose ;-) Guests will be provided with their unique entry code shortly before their check-in day. This apartment is owner operated. We (Chiara and Rob) will provide you with our contact details and be available by message or call throughout your stay. We have two young kids (3 and 4 years old), so we prefer that only emergencies are directed our way outside "normal" work hours. Located in the heart of historic Lisbon, in one of the city’s most iconic, unique, and culturally significant neighbourhoods. History and tradition, coupled with the city's vibrancy, are all at your doorstep. Most of the main attractions and most vibrant areas are within walking distance; - Less than 2 minutes walk; 1st stop 28 tram, Largo de Severa (home of fado music), Ze da Mouraria (famous traditional Portuguese restaurant/Tasca), Food Temple (maybe the most famous vegan restaurant and probably the city's longest surviving) - less than 5 minutes walk: Baixa, Rossio Square (historic city centre), Jardim da Cerca da Graça (a hillside garden with views of the city, a gem hidden in broad daylight), famous fado graffiti - About 10 minutes walk : Av. Liberdade, Ramiros Restaurant (as seen on Anthony Bourdain and Rick Stein), Miradouro da Graça (famous viewing point, in the Graça), trendy intendente square, the Castle of Saint George A great location to explore the city on foot, but you are also a 2-minute walk from Martim Moniz Metro station (the green line that connects to the redline for the airport) and a 2-minute walk from the 1st stop of the famous 28 Tram. If feeling tired (Lisbon is hilly), you can always hail a taxi or a taxi ride service like Uber, Bolt or FreeNow. Apartment is 2nd floor without elevator. The building is located on a pedestrian street, around 40 meters from the closest taxi drop-off point. The entire building has been renovated to a high standard. Completed in 2021.
