These amenities include a waterless eco-friendly compost toilet, hand basin, and shower (gas heated for hot showers).

Guest Access:
Guests will have access to the property and the surrounding areas and go for a short hike up the hill as well as cool down in the stream.

By car:

- 35 min drive to and from Thames

By public transport:

- No bus or train services nearby. However, the nearest town to get to by bus is Te Kauwhata, which is15 mins from our property or tiny house.

Other Things to Note:
- Mobile reception is good
- Pets are not allowed on the property
- No smoking allowed on the property
- No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed
- Free-range eggs are available for guests to use for breakfast
- Please do not enter animal paddocks without the land host's permission
- Recycling bins are placed next to the tiny house and are available for guests
- Guests with children are advised to keep an eye on them, especially near the stream

Guest guidelines

- We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge
- You can bring your own non-motorized off-road bicycles (or mountain bikes) to ride on our rural road
- Please also bring your own gumboots for crossing streams and walking through damp or wet grass etc
- Hiking shoes are preferable for a short (approx 20 mins) hike to the top of the hill and back. We recommend bringing your flashlights for night walks to see possums and or eels and small fish in the stream

Important note:

- Due to the nature of the property, abundant wildlife may be present on the property
- Keep in mind that BBQ grills and outdoor fire pits are not available during a total fire ban
- In order to maintain the cleanliness and functionality of our compost toilets a minimum additional cleaning fee is applied for stays of 5 nights or more. We appreciate your cooperation in ensuring a hygienic experience during your stay.
