Summary: My family and I came into town Wednesday-Saturday to visit some relatives who live in the Heath area. The check-in process was very smooth (automated) and the interior of the home was clean and comfortable.However, when we arrived we found the smoke detector unhooked in the kids bedroom with the 9v battery taken out and left on the shelf. It was late in the evening so we decided to stay the night. In the morning, we decided to check the windows as there was a lot of noise throughout the night from the roadways and wind. We were shocked to find out that the first 2 bedrooms we tested had windows which did not lock and had a 1/2" gap in them which explains why there was so much exterior noise. This inspection also revealed plasticware and misc. trash in both sides of the yard and the neighbor's window screens were ripped out. Our relatives advised there has been an uptick in the area of property crimes and petit theft. We made the decision to leave the property after the 1st night of our stay due to safety concerns and did not even ask for a refund. We messaged the property owner Thursday AM and never received a response until their automated system asked us to extend our stay and I sent a not-so-friendly message. The property manager then replied saying they have 527 homes and must use automation. I never heard back on any of the issues we brought to their attention. I believe the property manager was extremely unprofessional.
