Summary: Great central location. Impressive and imposing building. Staff friendly and welcoming. Very expensive for the overall experience. Rooms and bathrooms are smaller and tired. Extras and refreshments in the room are fine but not generous. TV and entertainment system very slow and old with poor connectivity. Our door did not close properly. The gym was out of date, dimly lit, grey and with faded and battered equipment. Swimming pool is old and dim but charming. However, when we went down to use it three hours after it was meant to be open, it had not yet been opened and I found a queue of guests trying to access with no signs, messages or staff. Frustrating and expensive.
