Apartment of a double room. With own terrace. It is on the first floor of a house, which consist of a ground floor and first in a typical fishing village with traditional buildings of the last century, with predominance of independent houses of one or two heights maximum. It was completely renovated in 2012 and we tried to respect the originality of the house as much as possible, preserving the typical wooden and brick ceilings as well as the wooden staircase leading up to the terrace with the cupboard and the cabinets that make it below The wooden sliding doors that are also original and date back to 1920. The apartment has all the necessary for a comfortable and autonomous stay.
There are no common areas. The street door leads directly to the apartment and is for private use.
The area is in deep remodeling, and is becoming a neighborhood of the future in which many independent workers, small businesses, as well as growing cultural and gastronomic offer are being installed.
In fact, at number 159 (the house right next to the apartment) there is a bar / restaurant ¨ Mar D'Amura - Gastro Home ¨ recently opened (March 2017) where you can eat Spanish food, international gastronomy or vegetarian and dine a variety and excellent typical tapas.
All this on your private terrace where you can continue enjoying the good weather and next to the apartment.
The Arenas beach is five minutes walk.
The typical market Cabañal is also a five minute walk. There you can find all kinds of food also feel the typical atmosphere of the traditional fishing neighborhood market valence, with its fresh fish, fruit, vegetables etc ...

Summary: Let me start off by saying don't let the neighborhood put you off of this surprising little hideaway- looks are definitely deceiving. It is an old neighborhood and it shows, but I never felt at all unsafe when walking even late at night and aside from loud downstairs neighbors it was a wonderful stay. It all began with Emilio who was such a warm host. He personally met us and greeted us with a bottle of wine and pastries which was very thoughtful. He quickly and patiently responded when we forgot how the front door lock system worked, offered many suggestions and directions to nearby points of interest, and even tipped us off to a local pop-up street market that was taking place a few streets over. The apartment itself was well furnished and decorated and within easy walking to the beach, transit, and other food and shopping, but the true icing on the cake was the rooftop terrace! What a beautiful surprise that you wouldn't normally expect. It is clear that much work and passion went into this space that feels more like a home than a rental.
