Marazul Dive Resort is located in Westpunt, western tip of the island, 30 minute drive from the airport. Surrounded by the green nature of this part of the island you have found your vacation spot if you like to enjoy peace and quiet in a tropical setting. MDR is a privately owned, oceanfront, quiet, gated community nestled among lush tropical plants and palm trees set on a small cliff. The stairs on the cliff wall lead you into the warm crystal clear turquoise water of the sea for snorkeling, swimming and diving. The house reef is within a few hundred feet from the stairs and full of many forms of sea life.
The location and its beautiful open grounds with palm trees, tropical flowers, and a sparkling pool invite you for a week or two or a winter getaway. Landscape offers the perfect postcard photo at every turn. The unobstructed sunset seaviews, complete with trade winds, sunshine, beautiful bird life and security. The front yard is the Caribbean Sea. You never have to leave the resort to snorkel, swim and dive to your heart's content. With a perfect view of an amazing sunset every day of your holiday as you watch the sun goes down while enjoying dinner/cocktails on the terrace.
We have the very best of the island’s natural beauty, and it’s calmest, most protected water. Five of the island’s most pristine beaches: Knip, Playa Kalki, Playa Lagun, Cas Abao, Porto Marie, (each with very good shore diving and snorkeling). Two beautiful national parks (not to be missed) are about 7 minutes away: Mt. Christoffel, Curaçao's highest peak, a 360° views of the island on a clear day and Shete Boka where large, unpredictable waves crush against an underground cave. We have 6 restaurants less than 5 minutes away (including 2 of the island’s highest rated ), and 2 full service dive shops in this same area. The capital city of Willemstad -- UNESCO World Heritage City with museums, colorful, fascinating architecture and lots of shopping, restaurants and casinos -- is just a 35-minute drive.
Our 2-story oceanfront townhome, “home-away-from-home” is just steps away from the waters edge and an unobstructed views into the blue sea. Our condo has all of the comforts of a home and provides everything needed to enjoy an unforgettable vacation. A fully-equipped kitchen will make meals easy and entertainment.
Each unit in MDR is individually owned and furnished. We strongly believe our townhome is the best in class and the best choice for your stay. We take pride in our home and this is our 2nd home which we spend 3-4 months a year and not just rental property and every effort has been made to make sure our home is a place our guests will greatly enjoy and a place to which you would like to return and refer to your friends.
We have the best location in the resort, close to the pool but not on top of it. There is secure parking and we have a friendly/helpful on-site manager who checks in with you each day to make sure everything is fine. He arranges fishing with the local, diving, grocery shopping, or whatever you might need.
Our home is completely renovated and updated with everything new with all the high end upgrades to our home for your relaxing vacation: Wi-Fi, IPTV with all the US channels, movie channels including HBO and Showtime, international channels including Canada., air conditioning units, ceiling fans, brand new Samsung French door refrigerator/freezer Feb 2022, induction cooktop (2/2024), microwave, large countertop Cuisinart convection toaster oven, toaster, blender, electric kettle, 12 cups Mr coffee maker, small coffee grinder, cutlery set, induction nonstick cookware set, Oneida silverware for 8, open-plan living area with a King size orthopedic sofa bed, and dining table for 4. All new louvered door and windows and new downstairs sliding doors. It has two full baths and hot water in the kitchen and hot water in the upstairs bath. New louvered door with keyless entry lock for security while at the pool or diving so you don't have to worry about carrying a key while out. All the doors, sliders and windows have screens which are very important on the island.
Expanded master suite (one of the largest townhome bedrooms in resort) with brand new Serta King size bed Feb 2022 for a comfortable sleep and sitting area has a sofa bed. The bedroom suite has an ensuite bathroom, large walk-in closet with a safe for your passports, valuables and big enough for a small laptop/tablet (a surprisingly rare - but very necessary amenity!!). The master suite opens onto a beautiful terrace with breathtaking ocean views to watch the beautiful sunsets and enjoy cocktails or dinners.
On the property is a tranquil pool overlooking the ocean surrounded by beautiful Bougainvillea and palm trees and with comfortable lounge chairs present the perfect spot for reading or sunbathing or just relax with a cocktail.
