Darwin's Rural Retreat, located on 5 acres only a 35 minute drive from Darwin's CBD & the Airport. Resort style living in a large, tropical, modern design home with absolutely everything you need to feel comfortable in your home away from home. Relaxation will come easily. Close to local amenities, i.e.Grocery store; bakery; butcher and some iconic pubs, taverns & golf course. Situated in Humpty Doo on the doorstep of Kakadu, Litchfield, and some of Australia's best barramundi fishing hot spots.

The Space:
Tropical resort style home offers privacy between living, sleeping, entertaining spaces. All wrapped around a stunning landscape, including pool and native backdrop.

Main building - living, dining, kitchen

Master bed - King size bed, including huge walk-in shower complete with double rain shower head and a view over the pool

Guest quarters - includes 1 king bed, 3 Queen beds, full bathroom with huge bathtub & walk-in shower, lounge room with TV/lounge, children's toys, board games & library.

All buildings connected via open air verandas, wrapping around the best pool in the Top End. PLEASE NOTE: Pool is NOT fenced as not required under local council law.

Guest Access:
Sole occupancy only. Guests have full run of entire house and pool. Owners live in Granny Flat at the back of the property. Well away from house. Separate entrance. But available when needed.

Guest interaction with Owner:
As we live on the property (in a granny flat near the back of the property), we are available if needed but have the ability to offer complete privacy to our guests. We encourage our guests to reach out if they would like any more information about the local and surrounding areas, what to do, where to go!

A quiet street, everyone lives on 5 acres, meaning all properties have distance between neighbours. Close to local amenities, i.e. Grocery store; bakery; butcher and some iconic pubs, taverns & golf course (3 to 5 min drive). Situated in Humpty Doo, on the doorstep to Kakadu & Litchfield National Parks and some of Australia's best barramundi fishing hot spots.

Getting around:
We strongly encourage you to arrange a hire car during your stay at our property, Public transport is available but 4km away to catch a public bus. Taxi's are costly from the rural area. Many of the best local attractions require a bit of a drive but worth it!
