Positive: Our stay at the Great Escape was fantastic! The house couldn't be in a more ideal location as it's just a short walk to the lift and boasts a wonderful view of the Franconia Ski Club racing trail. The home is spacious and well-equipped with everything you need for an incredible ski vacation including an outdoor ski locker, grill, gas fireplace and outdoor firepit. The upstairs loft is a wonderful feature and provided a comfortable space for kids to hang out and play while the adults enjoyed the space of the living room. We can't wait to return!
Negative: We did have an issue upon arrival where the dishwasher had been loaded with dirty dishes, but it never completed its cycle as it appears there may have been a fuse shortage prior to our arrival. The oven was also impacted by this shortage. Despite our futile attempt to reset the breaker it required a maintenance call (we're clearly not very electrically savvy as it doesn't seem like it was a major issue, we just didn't want to mess with the box too much since it wasn't our home). Maintenance didn't arrive until 48 hours after our initial call, which was a bit of a disappointment not having a dishwasher or oven for 2 days, but it is likely more of a challenge getting service technicians further North.
Summary: The Great Escape is everything its name suggests and we can't wait to return!
