Ideally located to explore all four season in Aspen, Colorado. Located at the base of Aspen Mountain (Ajax) this funky chique two bedroom is an ideal jump-off for a ski vacation, seconds from mountain trails for fall leaf peeping, and right in the heart of Aspen for all fantastic summer and spring events, retreats, festivals, and more!
This two bedroom is fully decked out with high-end décor: Noguchi, Kiesler, and Saarinen furniture, cork flooring, Mondrian bedding, Castiglioni lighting, walnut wood countertops, reclaimed wood, LED light and two large decks. This apartment is green, running on 100% renewable energy via the Aspen Clean Energy Pact.
As you enter the apartment, it will be immediately apparent that this place, mid-century modern chique, has a vibe all to itself. Noguchi, Saarinen and Kiesler furniture abounds, chrome lighting and a Castiglioni flo lamp light the surface, LEDs light reclaimed barn wood, and Mondrian bedding set this place apart. Entering from the front door, you are greeted with a small bench to remove your shoes and a coat rack. The coat rack is part of a four-sided island that has gear storage, reading materials, a small desk to work at, and is covered in beautiful reclaimed barn wood.
Following the entrance to the left is a kitchen for a chef. A refrigerator, four induction burners, a microwave, an oven, all-clad pots and pans, WUSTHOF knives, and a coffee maker rest on a beautiful walnut countertop. The kitchen is appointed with service ware for eight. The countertops are beautiful custom walnut wood, and a knife rack holding the WUSTHOF blades are integrated into the countertop. As you move through the kitchen and attached to the living room is a white Saarinen style tulip table and four chairs draped in red fabric.
Past the table, the ceiling give was too beautiful 25’ (!!!) ceilings, and lots of glass help to bathe the living room in natural light. A Noguchi couch and Saarinen armchair provide both style and comfort and a television with a Roku for all your cable, Netflix, HBO Now, and Hulu needs will keep you entertained with a library of movies and television programs on a night in. Full of technology you will also meet our Roomba "George" who can help with that pesky mid-stay cleaning.
On the other side of the living room is a door to a large outdoor patio with seats and a direct view of Aspen mountain.
Moving through the living room into the master bedroom reveals a queen bed and two side tables with reading lights. The corner of the room has a closet to hang clothes and drawers and cabinets for additional storage.
Moving from the bedroom to the left reveals a laundry room with stacked washer/dryer, ironing station, and cleaning supplies. The door to the right of this is the master bathroom with good lighting and a sizable mirror.
To the left back by the front door is a spiral staircase. Climbing it takes you to the second bedroom. An open floor plan and half wall allow you to peer down over the high-ceilinged first floor with beautiful 25’ heights and large panel glass providing scenic views of the mountainside and foliage. There is a television and Danish Modern chest of drawers, and convertible desk. The bed is a pullout with two twin mattresses and Mondrian bedding. Connected to the bedroom are the second bath with a full tub and shower, good lighting, and a sizable mirror. There is also ample cabinet space to store your belongings.
This two bedroom has a lock off and can be combined with the studio unit of the other side for a full 3BR mountainside experience if desired.
Unquestionably cool this one of a kind condominium brings the fun and makes you smile.
The apartment complex has a shared pool, hot tub, and gym access. The property manager will be available for advice and guidance as to how best spend your time in Aspen. You will be provided with one parking pass for private condo parking. If a second car is desired additional on-street parking passes can be purchased for $5 per day. Coin laundry is available downstairs and is shared with the apartment complex.
This condo is ski-in-ski-out for all, but ski-in is recommended for advanced skiers only. For those less advanced we recommend skiing down to the top of Mill St. and taking the small walk over. Skiing out is just a walk up a staircase, and an easy straight trail will take you to the base of Aspen Mountain's gondola. The unit comes with a code lockable ski and gear locker.
We have been renting this unit for decades, and it always puts a smile on guests face. For rides around town, we recommend Z3ro-G Limo in Aspen for mean, clean, electric Tesla based transportation.

What to be aware of:
The condo is up three flights of stairs and there is no elevator access. Additionally, we are in the mountains! Remember, there is wildlife out there, and bears, so keep things clean and locked up should you not invite any unwelcome friends!
