Summary: What I liked: Quiet, secluded house with an easy 10-minute drive to Cape Charles. The house was quaint, very clean, spacious for our needs (4 adults, 3 kids), and bright with lots of light streaming in when you opened the blinds. The beds were firm (I like)). Perfect for getting up and spending the day in Cape Charles. I didn't mind that the interior was sparse (not zen-chic but frugal). but I was disappointed that there was no cutting board in the kitchen and no extra trash bags since we were 7 people X 3 nights. We had to empty the 1 bag into the garbage down below and return it to our UPSTAIRS rental, which leads me to my only real complaint: the place was presented on VRBO as the entire house, and then when I got my access code, the host indicated (online only) that our rental was upstairs. We arrived at 11:00 p.m. and the kids began to chase each other around and squeal their piercing squeals of delight. Good thing there was no one renting the downstairs until the following night. The upstairs was spacious enough, but it was devious advertising to list it as the entire house. The cleaning person arrived at exactly 11:00 on the morning of our departure and verbally expressed her displeasure that we hadn't left yet, because we were taking care to leave everything clean and ready.
