Positive: If you are looking for luxury with exceptional service then look no further than Santonero. The hotel is perfect if you are looking for peace and quiet and total tranquility. There are only a handful of rooms (I think 8 or 10 at most) and are all set perfectly that you get complete privacy in your own spot. Katerina and the rest of the service team are excellent and are at your service for your whole stay. All communication is done via WhatsApp whether it’s ordering drinks, lunches and dinners etc or if you wish to organise trips or get advice. I’m sure as the hotel gets busier (it’s still quite new) they will move to an app based ordering system, but for now WhatsApp is perfect and Katerina is very quick to respond. The location of Santonero is in the south of the island and away from the super busy Oia however it is only 30 minutes away in a taxi if you want to visit. The views are breathtaking and located perfectly to see the sun set from your room each night. *Top Tip* for the sunset, take a bottle of something nice and go to the top of the stairs and sit on the wall…you will have a completely private and full view of the sunset on the horizon. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Santorini and Katerina and the team made it so easy and perfect.
Negative: There wasn’t really anything we didn’t like….a lift would be nice as there are a lot of stairs!!
