Enjoy in this bright cozy cottage, with views of Sturgeon Lake from the bedroom and deck. It’s a lovely space to unwind and relax after a busy day whether it’s work or play. Awake refreshed and ready to explore with a walk along the lake. There is a public launch and beach, Marina and public dock within walking distance. Emily provincial park is 15 mins drive away. Beautiful Bobcaygen and Lindsay are each 15 min drive for restaurants and shopping.
Welcome to our cottage. We are so happy you are interested in hearing more about it. It is a 2 bedroom bungalow cottage. In the heart of Thrustonia village in Dunsford. Which is about 1.5 hours away from Toronto. The cottage has been newly renovated with fresh paint and new modern grey vinyl flooring thru out. The cottage is pet friendly, we love all fur babies. Please make sure when you book to include that you are bringing your pet as there is an additional one time $50 pet fee. This cottage is not directly on the water. Sturgeon lake is a 5 min walk away.
Both bedrooms are big and have new queen size pillow top mattresses in them. Please note ** linens/comforters/pillow cases are not provided and you will need to bring your own. (do not worry I will remind you:)) There are pillows on each of the beds and a few extra ones in the closet for you to use. Each bedroom has it's own smart 42' Tv. It is wonderful to lay in bed and drink a coffee and relax and watch the news or something from Netflix or Disney plus etc. All TV's are loaded with many different apps for you to enjoy.
The front bedroom has beautiful views of Sturgeon lake. You will lay in and bed and look out onto the lake and scenery of the trees and community.
The second bedroom is large and has a closet for you hang up clothing, store your overnight bag etc.
There is a balcony on the front of the cottage that is equipped with two chairs and a small table, ideal for having a drink or reading a book and enjoying views of the lake, nature scenery of the trees and waterfront community.
There is a large family room in the middle of the cottage that has a new sectional which can pull out into a queen bed. It has a 55' smart TV hanging on the wall. There are also some board games and books for you to use during your stay. A dining table with 4 chairs also lives in the family room.
The kitchen is fully stocked for you to use. Pots, frying pans, toaster, tons of utensils, cutlery and coffee maker are just to name a few. Only thing you will need to bring is food. There is a brand new glass top stove.
The bathroom has a full size tub and shower. Shampoo and conditioner and toilet paper are provided. **Please bring your own bath towels as we do not provide any. It is also home to a second fridge. Which is great for beverages.
The cottage has baseboard heating. Please be careful not to have any items leaning or blocking the heaters for safety purposes.
The backyard has two decks. With tons of seating and two patio tables. There is a propane BBQ for you to use and BBQ utensils kept in the kitchen. There is fire pit and one small bundle of wood will be included with each stay. Additional bundles of wood can be purchased for a small fee which we will make sure to have ready and waiting for you.
***There is a doorbell camera on each the front and back door.
Please note the streets in this waterfront community are on the narrow side and the streets are steep. The streets are maintained and salted and sanded regularly by the city. It would be ideal to have winter tires and or 4 wheel drive vehicle for navigating the streets when an initial snow occurs.
