Positive: This property was a phenomenal stay during my time in Paris. The host was extremely communicative the entire time prior to my arrival and they had no problem accommodating my early arrival to the city. The maid of the property met me early in the morning when I arrived and took me right up and helped me carry my bags! The apartment was very clean and quite large for a one bedroom in Europe! Usually they are studio apartments but this one actually had rooms! The mattress for the bed was also very firm and extremely comfortable. Had a good amount of appliances too: washing machine, fridge, dishwasher, small oven, AND stove top! Bathroom was very quirky and had rock climbing rocks mounted on the wall all the way up to a skylight. The apartment is very close to the Maison Blanche metro station. 5 min walk, easily. This easy transition is why I rated the location so highly (just be forewarned, its not very close to city center, but it still looks and feels like a typical Paris apartment!) And the metro was excessively easy to use. The maps are clear, the signs are everywhere and google is also very helpful at telling you where you need to go and what stop. So if you are concerned about how far you are from city center, do not concern yourself. You can get there very easily. There is also tons of amazing different asian restaurants in the neighborhood so if you are looking for something a bit different for your stay in Paris, this is it! The host and the maid were both completely available the whole time I was there and ready to help if needed! Lots of great communication.
Negative: Just a forewarning for anyone just arriving by plane, the airport is quite far this apartment and there is usually heavy traffic on the A3. When I first arrived, it took about 1 hr 15 min to get from aeroport to the apartment by Uber. Going back to the aeroport was about 45 min. Both times around 9 or 10 in the morning. Another forewarning for newcomers to the city, it is definitely a sizeable distance from city center and a lot of the main attractions but as I indicated above, the metro is so close and very easy to use and I had no problems getting anywhere I wanted in the city. Just be aware. As indicated by the host already and also in the previous reviews, it is on the 6th floor and it currently doesn't have an elevator so when you arrive, you will have to climb for a while. But the host mentions that, so do the reviews, and also the host messaged me before I came to Paris to make sure I understood that I would have to climb, so no surprises here! And they are currently working on building an elevator that seems to be slow to build, but I did see evidence of build. It sounds like it might be up and running in January. So lots of climbing for now and definitely not wheelchair accessible but to be honest, a lot of Paris apartments don't have an elevator so this not abnormal. The elevator will be an upgrade! Finally, as I indicated above it's definitely on the larger size for a one bedroom in Paris because they are usually studios, but I need to be clear in perspective, this is still a small apartment. The apartments in Paris are not generally large at all. And while there is a bed and a couch mattress as well, it really would only be comfortable for a couple or 2 people who know each other very well. And if there was 4 people, two of them would have to be kids so they will be small. Other than that, it's completely comfortable for 1 or 2 people. All of these things are just heads up information for people, however.
Summary: Fantastic, clean apartment, cool neighborhood, so close to metro!
