Summary: The house is like someone had a great idea for design and the space but completed it 90% and stopped. The walls have drywall patches unfinished. The bathroom fans are out and there’s holes in the ceiling where they should go. The base boards aren’t installed but are just sitting against cabinets and fall. The floor transitions aren’t nailed down, the air vents pop up, the shower handle falls off when used, toilet paper holders aren’t installed right and fell off, there’s not a shower curtain liner in the bathroom so the curtain is wet and mildewy, the upstairs shower doors aren’t on the track and fall off with every use, cabinet handles aren’t installed right and come off when used. The ice machine doesn’t make ice. We were welcomed by overflowing outdoor trash cans which smelled and because of this we had nowhere to put our own trash bags. We had to buy our own pillows because the beds hardly had any to use. The basement leaks with the rain and we had to put towels down to soak up water. All in all the space is good and we’d probably rent again because there are not any other 5 bedroom rentals in Wheaton. The beds are comfortable but just be sure to bring your own blankets and pillows. The location is great and walkable to downtown Wheaton with a cute park right next to the house. If someone put some attention into finishing the little things in this house it could be a great place.
