Positive: The location is fabulous. Across the road from the ferry landing stage and lakeside promenade. 100m to the supermarket, surrounded by restaurants. It genuinely couldn't be better. Baveno is a very pretty town and the appartment is very much part of it's attractive heart.

Negative: 44 steps to the apartment was a bit of a surprise, but after the first day with suitcases and the first provision shop it didn't really cause any issues. The Booking.com websites lists it has having a washing machine. It doesn't. There is however a laundry, again within 100m, and this is a perfectly practical solution, with good instructions in English too. It also meant I didn't need to do any ironing. I do filter my searches to select for places with washing machines In this case I am glad I didn't reject it because the positives by far outweigh the negatives. If I come back to the area this will be the first place I check for availability. Hopefully that gives this comment it's proper context.

Summary: A perfectly located, and beautiful appartment from which to enjoy the lake, and the town.
