Positive: Location and silence :) Also, the size of the place is great, plus you have a nice terrace outside full covered from all sides with glass.
Negative: The heat pump (air conditioning) is not usable at all. It makes such noise and is also so dirty inside that basically it is a biohazard instead of a useful feature. Big no go (for me at least) — you need to clean up the cottage before leaving—the whole place. This is the check-out message I got from the host: — You take out the sheets and towels and put them in the black laundry bin in the bathroom. You clean up by dusting and vacuuming the cabin. Things are in the kitchen, large cupboards and in the bathroom. Clean the bathroom such as the shower cubicle and sink as well as the toilet. Clean out the fridge and wipe down all the counters, clean the oven and stove and take out the dishwasher. Wipe the table and throw away the garbage. let me know if something breaks or doesn't work. — So, basically, this is a no-go for me, but I didn't know that in advance as this information is not shown anywhere in the booking information. As I was unable to cancel and refund the booking and find a new one, I slept there, but the experience was terrible as I was trying to keep the place as clean as possible (by not touching anything, basically). After a 5-6 hour drive, the last thing I would like to do is clean the whole cottage — which in my case is 2-3 hours a work if you want to do it good. Also the shower is not clean and the light in bathroom is rather strange — pointing up, thus the whole room is darker. The last thing—cats on the terrace. There are cat hairs everywhere, so if you are allergic, you are out of luck.
Summary: A place with great potential, but it needs more effort from the host and also more transparency.
