Travel Purpose: business
Positive: The location is amazing. The house has uninterrupted views of the sea, and up the hillside. While there are other villas around, they don't impinge on the privacy in the villa. The internal spaces are large and elegant.
Negative: The house is un-loved. A broken sound system, with wires hanging out, was distributed around the sitting room. The outside spaces were poorly provisioned; a major problem was that there was nowhere for more than 5 guests (the villa sleeps 10) to sit in the shade outside on the main verandah. There is NOWHERE to lie on the sun loungers in the shade. No parasols. The surrounding land dry and unirrigated, the outside spaces are rough and barren, unwelcoming. Also, the electric sockets in the main living areas were not working, there was very little side lighting. No cocktail glasses in the kitchen. No cheese grater! Generally, a great space, but badly provisioned and unloved, making it very poor value for the €27,000 we paid for 5 nights!
