Welcome to beautiful Sahuaro Place also known as "Big Ed's Cabin," which was built 50 years ago as a refuge from the Phoenix heat for his large family. Much of the house contains the original furniture, including the great room dining table and the 13 Arcadia glass doors. The hexagon-shaped home is situated on a cul-de-sac and is flanked by the small canyon and tall pines, which offer much privacy. The home is surrounded by a 3,000+ sq. ft. deck that wraps almost all the way around the home. This deck offers plenty of seating options (beach chairs included), an outdoor dining area for six, a gas grill for family barbecues, and wonderful vistas of the surrounding nature.
The great room is located right in the heart of the home with wood accents made from pecky cedar. It's subdivided into many entertaining areas. Snuggle up in front of the wood-burning fireplace, which features and Arizona red onyx. You will have plenty of sofa options to choose from, or cozy up in the sectional to watch your favorite shows on the flatscreen TV.
The full-size pool table offers endless entertainment; challenge your friends to a billiards tournament and show them who is boss! The nearby four-person round table is conveniently located near a wood stove to keep you all nice and warm while playing board games, card games, or doing puzzles. When it comes to relaxation, this home is unbeatable. You will discover an indoor redwood sauna bath with a removable window covering, which provides an outdoor view off the deck. The sauna bath can accommodate from six up to eight people.
When mealtime comes around, the fully-equipped kitchen has your back. Discover all major appliances, cookware, and utensils needed to whip up tasty meals, comfort food, snacks, and everything that comes to mind. It even includes double ovens for added convenience and two coffee makers for coffee enthusiasts (Keurig and Mr. Coffee maker).
