Summary: VERY CLEAN, MODERN HOME AT BEAUTIFUL GUNN LAKE! Great for larger groups or families! Two-story home offered privacy to the couple in the upstairs master suite. while still offering many area options where we could hangout together! Two separate lounging areas w/Smart Tvs (one on each floor) and a Kitchen stocked with everything we needed were both A+!! The owner, Trevor, was always quick to respond and offered us lots of recommendations … many prior to our arrival…that really helped us to plan out our vacation! Our three families (Grandma & Grandpa, two adult daughters & their husbands, and four grandkids 6, 4, 2 & 2) enjoyed having lake access & a dock for our boat & water toys so close, yet still being able to play ball & hangout outside without the constant worry of our little ones around the water. Mosquitos weren’t as bad as on the water, either! (Note: We brought a removable baby gate to use at the top and at the bottom of the staircase for our 2 year olds & it worked well for us.) The deck outside the second floor doorwalls has a gate at the top of the wood stairs, but it didn’t take long for our 2yr olds to figure out how to open it….so you might want to bring a bungee cord or rope to use if you plan to sit on the patio furniture on the upper deck with little ones. Everything is pretty close by—within 10-30 minutes away. For families with kids (on not) we recommend the Boulder Ridge Wild Animal Park for a very up-close interaction with animals, many of which you could feed! (Note carrots & lettuce is sold in the park for $5 each—cash only —but worth it as it’s really a cool experience). Also there are many good restaurants, local stores, an ice cream shop & of course the Casino for 24hr fun nearby too! Our family enjoyed our stay @ 3172 Sandy Beach St on Gun Lake! It’s highly recommended as a great place to stay!!
