Positive: The property was very well appointed, with thoughtful touches that made it feel comfortable and inviting. The rooms were spacious, allowing plenty of room to settle in without feeling cramped. The kitchen was not only spotless but also well stocked with everything needed to prepare meals, which made it convenient for longer stays. The living room offered a cozy and relaxing space, perfect for unwinding after a day out. I also appreciated the secure access system using a key fob, which provided peace of mind throughout the stay. The surrounding area felt safe and welcoming, and the location was ideal - just a short walk from a variety of restaurants, convenience stores, and two nearby train stations, making it easy to get around. Overall, it was a great place to stay, balancing comfort, security, and convenience.
Negative: While the property itself was well appointed, there were several major inconveniences and issues during my stay that made the overall experience disappointing. The first problem was the check-in process. After an eight-hour flight and being unable to check in early, I had to walk 30 minutes with my luggage to a corner store just to collect the key. This was incredibly inconvenient and frustrating- especially in 2025, when many properties have already moved to smarter, more guest-friendly systems like lockboxes or digital entry codes. Having to travel so far off-site for something as simple as a key really set the tone for the stay. Inside the flat, I found the second bathroom’s tub to be slow draining, which caused grime to build up quickly. I reported the issue to the host company, who sent a product to unclog the drain. This was, at best, a temporary fix. The tub remained dirty, and instead of sending someone to properly address the issue, they requested repeated “proof” - first a photo, then a video of the slow drain. I found it completely unreasonable to be asked to stand over a tub recording evidence when it should have been their responsibility to send maintenance. The problem was never resolved properly, and I felt the host dropped the ball here. Cleanliness was another issue. The carpet throughout the flat was dingy and clearly worn down from heavy use. As a rental property, it’s obvious that guests do not consistently remove their shoes, and the lack of upkeep shows. The balconies also looked to be in need of a cleaning. We were granted access but it seems that part of the space was neglected. It really brought down the overall aesthetic and sense of cleanliness. There was also a serious building safety issue during my stay. One night, after returning past midnight, I found the access reader had been ripped out of the wall, and I could not enter the building. I immediately reached out to the host but received no timely response.
