Enjoy our centrally located self-contained guest suite in the ground-level basement of our family home. We are a stone's throw from downtown Dartmouth, the ferry to downtown Halifax, and Lake Banook! The basement guest suite has a separate entrance at the back of the house accessible down a few steps. There is a parking spot available for you in our private driveway.
The main studio space is set up with a comfortable queen bed next to a large window, with room-darkening curtains. This room also contains the dining area and kitchenette which is equipped with a fridge, microwave, toaster oven, kettle, keurig, and french press. There is a wardrobe and a dresser for your belongings.
In the den, you will be able to use your streaming apps on the TV using the Roku provided. There is Wi-Fi available throughout the suite.
The 3-pc bathroom is located at the back of the suite. Please note that the shower stall is small at 32x32 inches.
All basics are provided during your stay including bedding, towels, a few toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, and soap), hairdryer, dishes and cutlery. We also offer complimentary k-cup coffee and tea!
We are a couple with a cat and a dog living on the upper two levels of the home. While we are mindful of noise, you may hear us engaging in daily household activities. At times, we may bring our dog Bailey to use the backyard (where the guest suite entrance is), however, please let us know if you are uncomfortable with this. Otherwise, she is extremely friendly and would love to greet you if you are comfortable!
The home is centrally cooled/heated and guests do not have access to the thermostat. There is a standing fan and space heater available for guest use.
You will have access to the entire guest suite, except for a storage room attached to the den that we keep locked.
