Welcome to the Beach Cabin at Paradise Cove. The home is cozy, bright, Airy and modern, overlooking the bay with wonderful views. I absolutely love people. Having served in the Army for 5 years and the Air Force for 6 years as well as coming from a racially and culturally diverse family who migrated to the U.S., It gives me great pleasure to use the Airbnb platform to create a space to host wonderful people of all walks of life, racial and cultural background, all genders and religious backgrounds as well.
There is no tolerance for any "isms". The Guest Suite is a small, well kept, clean, modernly decorated beach front suite that welcomes people from all over. This is a no drama zone. I enjoy hosting because I love meeting people and sharing experiences while creating opportunities to help others.
GETTING TO THE HOUSE
Guest may drive and park up the hill and walk to the home. It is a good jaunt from the parking area to the home, so if it is raining, rain boots recommended for puddles. Otherwise, it is a nice walk to take in the scenery of this wonderful Estuary. I am usually not home when guest book, however, you may make a special request for me to be there for a lift with my golf cart from the parking area with your luggage to the home.
The home is located at Paradise Cove on Vashon Island. Guest will take the ferry from their location be it Seattle or Tacoma or other locations with access to a FERRY. Catch the Ferry to Tahlequah Ferry stop, and DRIVE and park up the hill and self check in.
The home is 7.4 miles from downtown Vashon roughly 16 minutes. Guest will be able to drive their vehicle to tour the Island and to shop.
THE SPACE
-This is a Beach Cabin, small and modern. This is a singular house/Cabin converted into 2 apartments/ cabins. Some sounds may travel. This setting is ideal for having carefree fun and enjoying the beach. You will have entire Guest Suite/Upstairs Apartment Cabin to yourselves.
-The Guest Cabin Suite sleeps 4
-2 on a comfy queen size Korean style bed comfortably fitted with Memory foam mattress for added comfort
-An additional 2 average sized guest can fit comfortably on the sofa pull out bed in the living room.
-The home is small and appears bigger in pictures.
-Bathroom is average size full bathroom with shower (may be smaller to your liking) but is actually considered average size.
- The Suite is private. However, this is a duplex cabin of two apartments. Both apartments upstairs and downstairs are rented and there may be guest staying in the downstairs apartment for the same dates of your booking.
-There is a stairwell inside the house that connects both apartments/suites. There is a locked door at the top and bottom of the Stairwell which is the entrance to the downstairs apartment /suite
-The suite is cozy with full kitchen for your use
-Dining Area
-Living room area
-Small front facing Patio great for sipping wine and taking in the views
-Larger Patio Deck with Propane Fire Pit and Gas Grill for grilling as well as shaded 4 person patio furniture and an additional built in surround patio wood bench
-The best part = Right on the water with spectacular views and the enjoyment of host Seals that will visit during the day and night and hang out to say hi.
-Come relax or be active at the Cove !
AMENITIES
-The home amenities include shower Gel/ Shampoo Combo, towels, and hair dryer.
-There is limited space for hanging clothes. This is more of a “Pack and Wear” beach life location. There will be some hanging space with hangers but very little. Just FYI
-Guest suite has a kitchen to prepare foods and a refrigerator to store your groceries.
-Grocery stores are uptown -Thriftway and IGA 16 minute drive. Thriftway has great seafood choices and wine selection among many other things
-IGA is great for produce and fruits

PET RULES
I absolutely love dogs. All dogs are welcome with prior approval and a $120/per stay per pet fee.
-DOG TRAVEL KENNEL preferred but not required, however, you have due diligence to keep your pet off the sofa bed that other guest sleep on.
- DOGS ARE NOT ALLOWED ON SOFA BED WHERE FUTURE GUEST HAVE TO SLEEP.
-Dogs need to be potty trained to use the bathroom outside and guest are responsible for picking up after their dog and disposing in the trash.
-A dog poop picker-upper is located outside for use.
-Any inside damage from dogs will be a cost paid for by the guest.
THE SPACE IN AND AROUND THE HOME-RULES OF ENGAGEMENT
-Enjoy the beach! That is why you are here. But you are responsible for cleaning up a after yourself and being respectful to private property. This means pick up your trash, do not litter the water or around the home. This is a private beach! Littering will be fined $200 to the guest.
-Use equipment responsibly. The host is not responsible for any injuries that occur to guest while at the home and or while using equipment at the property. PLEASE BE SAFE=DO NOT USE EQUIPMENT THAT YOU ARE NOT FAMILIAR WITH USING!
-Parents- PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR CHILDREN AND THEIR WHEREABOUTS. THE HOST IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR KIDDOS!
-Smoking is NOT ALLOWED ANYWHERE ON THIS PROPERTY. SORRY. If you are a smoker, plan to vape while you 're visiting or use a patch. But there will be a fine $150 charged to guest who chose to disobey this and smoke. This includes cigarettes and Marijuana.
THE BASICS
-Strip linen upon check out.
-Place dirty towels on bathroom floor. Host will take care of this.
-During stay, please place plastic orange juice bottles in recycle side of trash bin and trash in trash. No trash in recycle bin please.
-Please clean the stove after use.
-Wash all dishes after each use. This prevents ants, roaches and bugs from visiting the home and setting up camp.
-Use fire pit with discretion and be sure to out the fire before leaving the fire pit circle
- PICK UP YOUR TRASH
-Clean BBQ grill after use
-PLEASE DO NOT DRAG CHAIRS OR FURNITURE ON THE WOOD FLOORS. IT SCUFFS THE FLOOR PLUS I LIVE. DOWNSTAIRS AND IT IS HARSH TO HEAR!

-AT 11pm all music must be turned down to include your voices
-Please be mindful of neighbors

CHECK IN AND CHECK OUT
-Check in is any time after 1pm and is self check-in
-Check out is 11 am on the day of your check out. Please abide so that I can have the place cleaned in time for other guest checking in.
