Summary: This is an old cabin with a rustic charm. We were there to ski at Winterplace and found the distance to be a bit too far to be considered convenient, but this is certainly a personal preference. While old and charming, the cabin wasn’t thoroughly clean, as there was a considerable amount of dust on most services and cobwebs in corners and on the rails of the stairs. There were a lot of dead insects around the baseboards in one of the bedrooms and live wasps flying around, which made it uncomfortable to relax.There was no hot water in the half bathroom, which was inconvenient. The cabin was filled with antiques and various items on every shelf and table, making it feel cluttered. Additionally, it should be noted that the ceilings are low upstairs and could be a bit of a challenge for a tall or larger person. The cabin is advertised as dog-friendly, but if your dog doesn't do well around other dogs, you might have an issue. There were a couple of dogs roaming freely around the property. They were sweet dogs, but it might be a problem for some.Lastly, the description wasn't clear that the shower and kitchen are in a separate building. My family did not find this to be a major inconvenience, but other visitors may find this not to be an ideal setup.
