Enjoy the charm of Toronto's Cabbagetown neighbourhood with this beautiful, newly renovated (2016) Victorian row home, the perfect example of Toronto's past and present. Located in the heart of the city, within a block to the Cabbagetown shopping strip for all of your ameneties. This home is steps away from Riverdale Farm/park, and the Don Trail, which are excellent locations to take children and fitness enthusiasts alike. It is also centrally located near Toronto's famous Eaton Centre, the CN Tower, the Rogers Sports Centre, the Hockey Hall of Fame and the Royal Ontario Museum. The Toronto Islands are also very beautiful and it's only a short cab or transit ride to the ferry docks. Cabbagetown is ranked 9th out of 140 Toronto neighbourhoods by Toronto Life Magazine. The location: An ideal downtown location, a 15 minute walk to shopping, Yonge and Bloor, the Yonge/Dundas Square and the Eaton Centre, the Distillery District, St. Lawrence Market, theatres and restaurants and the many other attractions Toronto has to offer. There is no overnight parking for this house. If you park overnight (12 midnight to 7 am), you will be ticketed by the City of Toronto. Overnight, only cars with City permits are able to park on the street. Public transportation is close by, including a street car line along College Street, buses along Parliament and Wellesley or a short walk to either the Wellesley or Castle Frank subway stations. There are car rental locations close by as well for any day trips, so it is recommended that you use transit or short term rental cars instead. The rooms: Completely renovated in 2016. This is a 4 bedroom house, 2.5 baths. There are 3 bedrooms on the second floor (two with queen sized beds, and one with a queen size "comfort sleeper" (high quality and flat) sleeper sofa and TV. There is a full bathroom with a spacious tub on this floor. The third floor has a master suite complete with a large closet, TV, love seat, private deck, and a 4 peice bathroom with a double slipper tub, and a shower with two separate shower heads. The family room is located on the very spacious main floor, and includes a large TV, two beautiful functioning fireplaces and lots of seating. The main floor has a 2 piece bathroom. The kitchen includes a large eat in banquette area that will be sure to fit everyone, and includes a double sink, large windows, new appliances, and a marble counter top. There is also a backyard area where you can enjoy a meal outside, directly off the kitchen. The basement includes a basic fitness area, a comfortable seating area with a TV and fireplace and a brand new washer/dryer for your use. This home is a row house in a beautiful area, and we ask that anyone considering this property be mindful of the fact that there are kind and quiet neighbours, requiring respectful renters. This is a rental suited to people who enjoy peace and quiet while at home, but want all of the amenities of a big city right at your doorstep.
