Travel Purpose: leisure
Positive: Convenience since it is near our place, view of rockwell at night and they provide parking space with fee (php 350). We only had to stay for 4D3N since there’s an electricity outage in our condominium.
Negative: We originally booked a unit at The Residences @ Acqua, which was exceptional and offered great value. However, since it was only available until Sunday, we had no choice but to book Aveline to extend our stay until Monday. Unfortunately, our experience at Aveline was disappointing for several reasons: 1) Rates & Fees – The total cost was higher than other properties, especially with the ₱300 per pet fee, which was charged on top of the ₱700 cleaning fee. Most hosts already include pets in their cleaning fee, so charging separately felt excessive. 2) Cleanliness – Despite the cleaning fee, the unit was not properly cleaned before our arrival. We stayed for 4 days and 3 nights, but there was no housekeeping service during our stay. The dust buildup even triggered skin rashes, which clearly shows the lack of proper cleaning. 3) Maintenance & Kitchen – The unit was poorly maintained. Some lights were very dim (though the bedroom light was brighter, thankfully), and the floors had visible stains. The kitchenware and utensils were greasy and smelled bad, making them unusable. We couldn’t cook and had to eat out, which defeated the purpose of booking a unit with a kitchen. 4) Wi-Fi Issues – One of the main reasons we chose this unit was because of the promised fast Wi-Fi, as we needed to work remotely. However, we were disconnected on the second day, and the system prompt said the internet bill was unpaid. We raised this with the host, but received no timely update or assistance. It was only resolved after I followed up with a phone call. The host later confirmed the bill was unpaid by just ₱89. This situation could’ve been easily avoided with better preparation. 5) Host Communication – On the first day, the host’s husband was very helpful, and we’re grateful for his assistance in getting us settled into the unit. However, Host Kath seemed too busy, and we often had to wait hours for updates regarding our concerns.
