This 1948 mission-style bungalow is in the heart of Galveston in the Cedar Lawn area on Avenue O, one of the island's most beautiful streets. It's perfectly positioned near beaches, the Seawall, Downtown, the harbor and The Strand.
3 bedrooms and 2 full baths present 1 king & 2 queen beds, plus a large, modular sofa fit for 2 adults. (There are ample linens and pillows for adults or children to be comfortable on the sofa, if need be.)
Modern & vintage furniture that were carefully curated for this particular space are surrounded by ample contemporary and traditional art and photography throughout. Furnished patios flank 3 sides of the home with a shallow but not-so-small cocktail pool (with heater & chiller) in the back of the property. The back patio by the pool has a variety of seating, chaise lounges, tables, bean bag chairs and a weber grill for entertaining.
Each of the three bedrooms have a distinct feel fit for any vibe guests desire.
The primary bedroom has a king size bed and an ensuite full bath with walk in shower. The two secondary bedrooms exude comfort and charm and share a full hall bath with a bathtub and shower.
This property has received multiple compliments for the comfort of the beds and linens.
There are amenities throughout, especially given ample tools in the kitchen, including: state of the art gas stove/oven, microwave, toaster, blender, food processor, pots & pans, utensils of all sizes/needs, dishes of all sizes, serving pieces, glassware, barware, baking dishes, a traditional coffee maker and a Keurig coffee maker, Keurig coffee pods, traditional ground coffee, coffee accessories, a large chopping block, smaller chopping boards, small and large knives, cookie sheets, pitchers, etc. There is a new full sized washer and dryer ensconced in built in cabinets in the kitchen with laundry supplies provided if needed during one's stay. Otherwise, guests' hospitality fee will cover all laundry costs upon checkout.
Guests are welcome to use pool and beach accessories/toys (chairs/noodles/floats/tents/etc) available in the garage, and there are ample pool towels plus beach towels stored in the kitchen and hall bath. The hall bath also stocks sewing and ironing supplies, if needed.
Mostly, our guests love being able to enjoy the island being so centrally located or just staying at home hanging in the pool and the super cozy cool house.
There is ample on and off street parking. The property provides full privacy for guests as the rental is the whole house. Guests have access to a smart TV in the living room with access to all streaming channels, free WiFi, central A/C and heating, and the pool can be made hot when it's cold outside or cool when it's hot outside.
This house was designed to be enjoyed by all regardless of crazy Texas weather, which, sometimes, changes in a quick minute!
