Summary:
This is the bigger unit (Side A) of a two unit home. Enjoy a little taste of Palm Springs while immersing yourself in the history and southern hospitality of Savannah! This historic home oozes old world charm, complete with a live oak covered in Spanish moss, a gazebo, beautiful outdoor spaces and original terrazzo floors nestled into a historic fishing village just minutes from downtown and all the hustle and bustle of the tourist areas.
The Space:
This coastal beauty has been transformed into a fully updated and renovated 3 bedroom and 2 bathroom home, with an attached studio apartment. This listing is for the 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom "Side A" unit.
As you pull up to the home, you will park and enter the main entrance to the home. Entering the main door of the house will bring you into the fully updated kitchen with new shaker style cabinets, all necessary appliances including a refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, oven, stove with overhead range hood, and all the essentials needed for preparing and serving meals at home. The kitchen has four stools at the bar, and an eat-in dining area, which is open concept to the living area. This open concept is perfect for entertaining and socializing with the entire family. The living area a sofa bed, coffee table, end tables and lamps with a 50" Roku TV. High end finishes throughout the home will satisfy even the most discerning guests, with original terrazzo floors and spa-worthy floor-to-ceiling tiled walk-in showers. The very spacious master bedroom has a king bed, nightstands with lamps, and a small bench at the foot of the bed. The second bedroom is furnished with a queen bed, nightstands, lamps, and a luggage rack, the third bedroom has two twin beds with a shared nightstand.
NOTE: we have weekly maintenance and cleaning performed on our pool. The pool services do not take long and will not disrupt your stay. We will need access to the yard/pool area if you stay with us on service day. Thanks for understanding!
Enjoy those warm Savannah pool side! NOTE: the pool is shared with the other half of the duplex. It is open from Memorial Day to Labor Day and is not heated. Please reach out if you have any additional questions!

Minutes to one of the most beautiful cemeteries in the world, Bonaventure Cemetery is open to visitors year round. Also close to downtown Savannah, and Thunderbolt Historical Society.

Uber, Lyft, and other Taxi available, but driving is encouraged!

We require a signed rental agreement and for guest to be 25 years of age to book.
We are a pet friendly home. Pets must be crated when they are left unattended in the home. We do not allow pets on furniture or beds, and all waste must be cleaned up from the yard. All pets require a non-refundable pet fee. If there is evidence of pet hair on the furniture, excess hair in the home, stains, or waste found in the yard or home, you will be charged the cost to clean this. In the event that a security deposit is collected, we will retain all or part of the security deposit to cover any costs associated with additional cleaning due to pets.
Interaction with Guests:
We want to provide our guests with maximum privacy and flexibility, so we have check-in and check-out automated. We will call and touch base on the phone, and we can always have someone come and help if you need it, but otherwise, we will leave you and your friends and family to spend time together.

Summary: Upon checking in at 4pm, the home smelled moldy as if it had been locked up for awhile and not ventilated or aired out. After my family and I opened several windows and wiped down the surfaces with Clorox wipes and sprayed soft surfaces with Lysol, it smelled better. We noticed the refrigerator was not clean, specifically on the outside. I wish I could attach photos. There was writing on the walls with blue crayon, bugs splattered on the wall, a hole in the window, a huge hole in the coffee maker container, along with several other issues we noticed upon check-in and during our stay. The outside of the property is not maintained. The door to side A that enters into the kitchen is covered in debris and insects, the grass wasn't cut, and the patio furniture is moldy and not usable. Furthermore, there was a loud dog on the other side of the door at the end of the hallway (presumably side B, it was a duplex). The dog barked loudly, non-stop once we checked in (frightening my 3 year old daughter). The dog began barking again at 5am the next morning. There was also a white SUV parked in side A's driveway, Leaving no space for our other car. The towels and wash clothes that were in the house were not cleaned. One of the towels even smelled and looked used. We had to wash them in the washing machine located at the property. The glass shower doors were not clean as soap scum was very visible. I emailed the company directly during my stay to notify them of my experience thus far. Although they did respond thanking me for notifying them of the issues with the property, there was no remedy, compensation, or discount offered to me and my family for the situation to make us feel valued as patrons of their rental nor VRBO. Although the rental was nicely decorated, I was thoroughly disappointed in my experience and the company's lack of accommodations.
