1 Bedroom Cottage in Flagstaff
This house was built with all the love in the world, with our own hands, and we are so excited to share it! It's truly a labor of love. It's designed with a rustic, modern vibe. *Please note that you must drive approximately six minutes down a dirt road to reach the property.* We recommend a 4x4 vehicle if there’s snow. We’ve recently added a private hot tub!
Guests have access to the entire house. This includes parking, one car garage, living space, full kitchen, full bathroom, bedroom with king bed, walk-in closet, laundry room, and a small fenced backyard. It is located on the same property as the main house (hosts live on the property) but is completely separate and detached. Your privacy is our number one priority.
Two miles (six minutes) down a dirt road, the house is secluded but just minutes away from city life. *The road is labelled as "primitive". It is maintained regularly but can also get bumpy due to weather. In extreme weather conditions, there may be a few inches of water where the road crosses the typically dry wash.* 4WD vehicles recommended if snow is present.

At the cottage, you can enjoy various indoor and outdoor activities. There are small hiking/biking trails not far away. Spend and evening bird watching or watching local wild life. We commonly see local wildlife such as hawks, vultures, elk, deer, squirrels, chipmunks, and many others. Flagstaff is a dark sky city, so feel free to stare up at the night sky for a clear view of the stars.
In the main living area, you can enjoy cuddling up on the couch while watching Netflix or drinking a hot cup of coffee or tea. Maybe play a round of Flagstaffopoly, card games, a Grand Canyon puzzle, or enjoy some light reading with the Arizona books (all provided for your pleasure.) Make sure to appreciate the craftsmanship of the small tables, bar top, and kitchen shelves, as they were all handcrafted by the hosts!
Fully equipped, the kitchen is ready for those who like to cook! You'll find all the necessities plus kid friendly dinnerware, bakeware, and instant oatmeal for the mornings you don't want to travel into town for breakfast. Use the gas stove to whip up a quick or intricate meal, and the compact refrigerator to store it for later. All appliances are brand new, stainless steel. There is currently seating for two at the breakfast bar or four at the dining table.
The bathroom comes supplied with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, q-tips, and cotton balls. Soak all your troubles away in the jetted spa tub.
Wake up feeling refreshed after a night's sleep on the high end king size pillow top mattress. Feel free to close the blackout curtains to make it extra dark so you can sleep in! There is also a sofa bed with memory foam mattress in the living room for extra guests.
If you're traveling for work, hunker down in the laptop friendly corner of the bedroom and enjoy views of the forest while you work in peace.
For longer stays, utilize the walk in closet, iron and ironing board, washer/dryer (laundry soap provided), and luggage rack to help stay organized.
