A lovely sea view is visible from every level of this comfortable and inviting villa, set on the Kalathos hillside and boasting a wonderful location. Green fields, olive groves and red roof tops stretch all the way down to Kalathos Beach and the gentle countryside makes this a peaceful rural retreat. Kalathos Beach, a 10 minute drive, is a wide expanse of sand and shingle with plenty of room for everyone; those who want an umbrella and sunloungers to keep the sun off, and those sun worshippers who want the more unspoilt parts of the beach all get along. Several beach tavernas are perfect for a long lunch and maybe a snooze after lunch! The vila itself is a lovley modern mix with comfy sofas in the living area with patio doors opening onto a terrace, whilst 3 steps down is the dining and kitchen area that opens onto a covered outdoor area, great to enjoy lunch and admire the views. Upstairs there is another balcony leading off from the double bedroom which shares the bathroom with the twin bedroom, so just the place to enjoy the sunsets. Kalathos hamlet is set on either side of the main road that runs from North Rhodes to South with a mini market and restaurants and further south is Lindos an ageless village with cobbled streets and lots of hidden shops and cafe bars to explore, or sauter north and visit the UNESCO world Heritage medieval Rhodes town a must see. The three marinas that surrround the Capital of the island cater to boat excursions to other Dodecanese islands such as Kos and Symi, Rhodes has so much to offer, you can explore and discover small coves and bays and then return to the peaceful charms of Athina Kalathos.
