Surrounded by the soft wooded ridge in a romantic high valley in the Carinthian Nock Mountains lies the Flattnitz - at 1,400 meters above sea level.
Here you can do with rich flora and fauna in pure alpine air beautiful walks, engage in numerous fast flowing streams and dreaming of idyllic, crystal clear mountain lakes still in pristine forests.
Also as a starting point for excursions of all kinds, the Flattnitz ideal. In winter you can when a small ski area that is too small, easily reach the Turracherhöhe (40min), Obertauern (45min) or the Kreischberg (20min).
In summer, beside hiking trips to the Karl May Festival in Weitensfeld (20min), to Velden at the Wörthersee (40min), Klagenfurt (40min) or even to Udine (1.5h) to.
