It is our pleasure to welcome you to the peace and quiet of the Ou+look BnB in Rosevears. Our breath taking Ou+look is the magnificent view over the River Tamar in all its seasons and the lasting memory is the positive reflections on the water. This is what makes it such a positive Ou+look for all who stay here and this is the story behind our unique brand of accommodation. Whether for pleasure or business you will feel relaxed and enlivened from staying at the Ou+look BnB.
THE SPACE
The Ou+look BnB is an executive totally private apartment adjoining our house. Six separate living spaces comprising of a superb viewing deck, kitchenette, double bedroom, lounge/library, bathroom and toilet all accessed by your own wide hallway where we show off artworks in a boutique gallery space. There is a private three bay parking space dedicated to our guests right by the apartment. The apartment is on a single level that is ground floor and it has easy access from the parking bay.
The bedroom has a good queen size bed with high cotton count linens. The lounge offers a new 50 inch smart TV with built-in wifi access to Netflix and YouTube if you have your own subscribed account details to log in with. There is also an extensive library of graphic design, architecture and art books that can be accessed on request. A strong wifi signal is available throughout the apartment and USB charging point exists in the kitchenette. The well equipped kitchenette incorporates a fridge freezer, sink, microwave, toaster and kettle. Generous supplies and a free continental breakfast is on offer as well as a locally sourced wine selection available on request.
HOSTS
The Ou+look BnB is hosted by Jan and Pete. We are a friendly and welcoming couple loving life in the tranquil beauty of Rosevears. Jan is a retail manager in Launceston and Pete runs a graphic design studio from home. We both enjoy the arts and design while staying fit walking and rock climbing. We love to offer first class hospitality through our Ou+look BnB and give guests a memorable experience in Tasmania. We look forward to seeing you.
THE NEIGHBOURHOOD
The Ou+look BnB is located in Rosevears, Tasmania, Australia. The area is in the heart of the wine trail along the River Tamar with fantastic views all the way to Ben Lomond. The immediate location has very quiet neighbours and we ask for the same in return from our guests during your relaxing break. It is country quiet here and it has a lovely array of bird life through the seasons from Rosellas to Galahs. We are within walking distance of the famous Rosevears Tavern and situated directly under Tamar Ridge winery where one can have the best wine tasting experience with a view. A gorgeous cafe experience can be had at nearby Elmslie and all shopping amenities are served at nearby Legana or Exeter. Numerous other superb wineries are within a 20 minute drive, in particular do not miss Moores Hill and Iron Pot Bay, the latter a secret haunt of ours offering gourmet local food.
GETTING AROUND
The West Tamar Highway up on the ridge runs directly to Launceston in an easy 15 minute drive. Going the other way one can reach beautiful Greens Beach and Narawntapu National Park in 30 minutes. The road beneath our house runs a long way down the River Tamar with stunning views and is the premier spot for a cycle ride if you have brought yours with you. Pelotons of cyclists from Launceston are regulars down the lane here. Take a short drive to view the stunning river valley at dusk from Bradys Lookout up the hill beyond us. For a great walk go in to Launceston and head up the cataract gorge and take in a coffee at the dramatic first basin. Or for something more serene take the boat trip down the Tamar from Launceston Seaport. Next to the gorge the exciting historical adventures of Penny Royal are not to be missed while in Launceston. If just taking it all in look up at some of the finest preserved federation architecture in all Australia as Launceston is one of its oldest cities.
