5 Bedroom House in Lake Barcroft, Falls Church
Welcome to Lake Barcroft, a private lake community that is one of the D.C. area's best secrets from visitors. Just 20-25 minutes from the Capitol, our home is vacation worthy, with floor-to-ceiling views, including of the lake.
The house is perfect for entertaining as well as for families.
This is our first time offering it for rental -- hoping to welcome a group for inauguration 2025. We will be staying a short walk away and can help with anything you need - or stay entirely out of the way.
Inside, enjoy an enormous kitchen, complete with an eat-in bar. Our dining table is drenched in natural light and looks out toward the lake.
We have three living rooms, two with gas fireplaces and one with a 75-inch television.
Upstairs, two bedrooms have queen beds and one bedroom is a full mattress that is in a custom-made bulldozer-shaped bed.
Downstairs, a daybed is also a trundle, with the option for two twin beds that do not feel like second-choice. One of the living rooms has a pull-out queen which is so comfortable that it is the favorite place to sleep for one relative of ours.
Also downstairs we have a small secret playroom for kids, or reading nook for teenagers or adults.
The neighborhood is quiet, but beautiful and highly walkable. You will have access to a private sandy beach at the lake just over a block away. Even in winter, it is worth the short walk. There is a creek and a swing set there as well.
Finally, we have four exercise machines in a basement exercise room: a rower, an elliptical stair master, an exercise bike and a nautilus machine.
